Some of the responsibilities of mentors are: to provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to the mentee. As well as serving as their role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, sponsor, advocate and ally.
Dr. Martin Malek
National Defense Academy (Vienna)Born in 1965 in Stockerau (Austria), 1991 Dr. in Political Science (Vienna State University). Since 1997 (civilian) researcher at the Institute for Peace Support and Conflict Management, then at the Institute for Strategy and Security Policy, both of the National Defense Academy (Vienna). Several internships in research institutes in Germany, Russia, Ukraine and the U.S. Areas of interest and expertise: State failing theories, theories of separatism, theories of ethnic conflicts, security and military policy in the Commonwealth of Independent States (especially Russia, Ukraine, South Caucasus), post-Soviet language policy, military-industrial complex and arms trade of the post Soviet republics, relations NATO – CIS and EU – CIS, Eurasian energy policy etc. Author/editor of several books and some 300 articles, published in a dozen countries.

Amb. Ashok Sajjanhar has worked for the Indian Foreign ServiceAmb. Ashok Sajjanhar has worked for the Indian Foreign Service for over three decades.
